THE 3RD NWC MEETING COMMUNIQUE

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF THE 3RD NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING OF THE YOUNG PROGRESSIVE PARTY (YPP) HELD AT THE NATIONAL SECRETARIAT, ABUJA ON NOVEMBER 04, 2017.

The 3rd National Executive Committee meeting of our great party came to a successful end after about five hours of painstaking deliberation on salient issues as it affects our party and the nation at large with the following resolutions:

1. The party pays tribute to her former National Youth Leader, Comrade Tolulope Ibukunoluwa Oluwole whose unfortunate demise created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill and whose impact echoes till eternity.

3. The party unequivocally emphasized strict adherence to the constitution of the party and zero tolerance for indiscipline by all party members.

4. The Chairman on behalf of the National Executive Committee commiserate with one of the National leaders of the APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu on the untimely death of his son and pray that his soul will find eternal rest.

5. The National Executive Committee hails the sack and recommendation for immediate prosecution of the erstwhile SGF, Babachir David Lawal and DG of the NIA, Mr. Ayo Oke on allegations of corruption but however condemn the length of time it took for the President to act on the report of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

6. The party condemn in strong terms the obvious hardships melted on Nigerians due to the inability of the current administration to deliver on electoral promises made before the 2015 general elections. The recent poor ratings of Nigeria on the Corruption Perception Index and the Human Development Index leaves more to be desired as we advice the government to re-evaluate her policies and strategies and pursue knowledge based solutions rather than the current system, which upholds mediocrity far above competence.

7. Conclusively, we appeal to Nigerians to please identify with the ideology of our great party anchored on building highly cerebral leadership without greed with capacity to drive good governance and a knowledge economy through the instrumentality of service and accountability.

Signed:

Egbeola Olawale Martins
National Publicity Secretary.
