RESOLUTIONS AT THE YPP EMERGENCY NWC MEETING

RESOLUTIONS AT THE YPP EMERGENCY NATIONAL WORKING COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2018.

The National Working Committee of the Young Progressives Party held an emergency meeting on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the National Secretariat and after painstaking deliberations on issues that borders on our great party, the NWC resolved as follows:

1. In the interest of an all inclusive and robust campaign in the forthcoming general elections with emphasis on the Presidential election, all States and Zonal Chairmen of the Young Progressives Party are hereby directed to begin the process of a nationwide integration with all support groups and structures of Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, the YPP Presidential candidate for proper synergy and coordination.

2. Only State chapters with Governorship aspirant(s) will be eligible for a congress where Executive Committee members will be confirmed and sworn in as substantive officers.

3. All concerned stakeholders especially the aspirants, States and Zonal Chairmen are enjoined to study the YPP electoral guidelines which can be found on the party’s website as same is still very much in force including the cost of nomination forms. However, it is still the exclusive preserve of the National Working Committee to do a reduction or even a waiver of any of the fees stated in these guidelines to any aspirant it deems fit for any reasons within its purview.

4. All dates for primaries as amended with reference to the memo dated September 20th from the office of the National Organising Secretary are still valid and all concerned States in collaboration with the National are expected to commence preparations in earnest.
