1. The National leadership of the Young Progressives Party dissociates itself from the above subject matter concerning which we notify the general public to disregard the news as there was no time the National Working Committee of the Young Progressives party whether directly or through proxies congratulated Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State on his re-election victory.
2. Even though our preliminary findings already suggest an act of gross misconduct on the part of some misguided executive council members of the Nasarawa State chapter of the YPP led by its Chairman, Mr Adeno Sabo Adeno, all our teeming members and supporters can be rest assured that necessary disciplinary actions will be taken in line with our party’s constitution to ensure that those found culpable are sanctioned appropriately.
3. To break the code of conduct of the party is bad enough but to now drag the National Working Committee into this shameless drama through an act of subterfuge is not only immoral but criminal and must not go unpunished.
4. Discipline in the Young Progressives Party is sacrosanct, hence all Chairmen of our State Chapters are enjoined to be guided and desist from any act capable of dragging the name of our great party into disrepute by taking lessons from this avoidable error propelled by desperation and disloyalty to the party.
Signed:
Comrade Egbeola Wale Martins
National Publicity Secretary.
