BISHOP AMAKIRI NOVELTY FOOTBALL MATCH: TEAM AMAKSON THRASHED 4-1 BY TEAM YPP
The novelty football match to commemorate the birthday celebration of the National Chairman of the Young Progressives Party, Comrade Bishop Amakiri took place today, 28th July 2021 at the Abuja National Stadium with team YPP thrashing team Amakson by four goals to one (4-1).
Team YPP was captained by the National Chairman who himself is an ex-footballer. Despite sustaining a muscle pull mid into the first half, he showed resilience and displayed the never say die attitude associated with the Young Progressives Party by playing through the intense pain till the end to ensure victory.
There is no better way to climax this celebration that started with goodwill donations to two orphanage homes in Kubwa, Abuja on the 26th of July, 2021 than with a sport he is so passionate about. It will however be an injustice to the Amakson lads if we fail to own up to the fact that they had to step it down to accommodate some oldies in team YPP who may not have played competitive football in more than a decade.
Happy birthday once more to an icon of radical generational shift.
