
Zamfara State Interim Caretaker Committee Officially Takes Oath of Office at YPP National Headquarters

In a remarkable step toward consolidating party structures across the North-West, the Young Progressives Party (YPP) welcomed the newly appointed Zamfara State Interim Caretaker Committee to the National Headquarters in Abuja for the formal administration of their Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office.
The event, held with great decorum and patriotic spirit, was led by the National Legal Adviser of YPP, Barrister Rafat O. Muhammad, who conducted the official declaration in accordance with the party’s constitution and the Electoral Act.
This solemn yet historic occasion marks a new dawn for YPP in Zamfara — a state full of untapped political potential, energetic youth, and communities yearning for transformational leadership.

Comr. Bishop Amakiri, the National Chairman of YPP, while addressing the newly sworn-in officials, emphasized that their appointment is not just an office, but a sacred responsibility to serve the people with integrity and courage.
“Leadership must be earned through service, not seized for self-interest. Today, you have taken an oath not only to serve YPP but to ignite hope across Zamfara. The future belongs to those who dare to lead with purpose, not greed.”
He urged them to immediately begin grassroots mobilization, uphold party discipline, and reflect the YPP core vision of “a new breed of leaders without greed.”
Commitment to Grassroots Progress
The newly appointed Ag. State Chairman, Amb. Adamu Haruna, pledged on behalf of the committee to rebuild trust in leadership, engage the youth, and take the YPP message of hope and service across all 14 local governments of Zamfara.
“We are ready to change the narrative in Zamfara State. We will preach unity, equity, and service to the people, just as YPP stands for.”
