Haijya Umma Getso is a Nigerian Political Activist, Chief Executive Officer, Business Entrepreneur and board member to many organizations. She was the Vice-Presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP)and running mate of Professor Kingsley Moghalu in the 2019 Nigerian general election.
Hajiya Umma is currently the National Deputy Chairman of YPP; a board member and chair of To Build a Nation (TBAN) and National Interest Forum (NIF) respectively; and the founder and the Executive Director of Youth Enlightenment Initiatives Nigeria (YEIN), a youth and women mentoring and empowerment non-governmental organization that has mentored and empowered thousands of young girls, women and youths across Nigeria.
Hajiya Umma Getso has many awards and honors to her name. In December, 2019; Hajiya Umma Getso, alongside Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo and 19 others, was awarded the Nation Builders Achievers Awards (NBAA) in recognition of their exploits towards the growth and development of Nigeria and Africa. Most recently, she received a distinguished leadership award as Icon of Humanitarian Service and Nation Building in January, 2021
Hajiya Umma is a loving wife and mother. She is married to Honourable Musa Ado Tsamiyya, the member representing Gezawa/Gabasawa Federal Constituency in the 8th & 9th National Assembly. Together, they have three children.
